Each year, we remember Jesus’ death on the cross with a meditation starting at 2pm. When Jesus was crucified, he died at “the ninth hour,” which is 3pm, so our service is timed to finish at 3pm. The format varies from year to year, but includes hymns or songs, prayers, Bible readings and reflections as well as some silence in which we can bring our own hearts before God in sorrow for our sin and in gratitude for his love and forgiveness.
This year, our service is in Widford Church on Friday 29th March.
