Every year on Remembrance Sunday, we hold an Act of Remembrance for those from our village who fought and died in the two World Wars.
In 2020, because of Covid19 restrictions which prevented us from meeting indoors, we held the service outside at the War Memorial and live-streamed it from there. We did the same in 2021 and 2022.
We are considering doing this again in 2023. If so, the short service will be held at 10:45am and refreshments will be served in the Village Hall afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
The Scouts, Cubs and Beavers parade down from the School and take a key part in the service, laying wreaths, lowering their standards and reading from the Bible.
We use the opportunity of this gathering to support the work of the Royal British Legion. You can join us in this by donating online here.
