Newcomers to Hunsdon receive a “Welcome Pack” full of information about village life within a few days of moving in.
The church administers this. First of all, we make sure that the information inside the packs is up to date, and we print them ready for distribution. We also have a team of folk around the village looking out for removal lorries, and another team of people ready to pop round with one of the specially designed packs and a welcoming smile. You could help us by letting us know if any of your neighbours are moving – simply complete the online form here.
The pack contains information about important details that newcomers need to know (like the doctors’ surgery phone number and opening hours). It also has information about the different clubs and groups that meet in the village – it is our hope that new people settle in quickly and join in the community’s various activities with us to make friends and ensure that the village continues to be alive. We even throw in a free copy of the most recent edition of the Parish Magazine.
If you are new to the village and would like to receive a pack or if you have any specific questions of comments to make about it (whether you’re new to the village or not), please contact the Welcome Pack Coordinator in the first instance.
