Knowing Christ and Making Him Known

The church has links with the following organisations locally and round the world. Links open in new tabs.

HWW Benefice
Hunsdon Church shares its Rector with the churches in Widford and Wareside. Together the parishes are called a United Benefice. This website shows what is happening across the benefice.

Widford Church

Our sister church since the 1950s

Wareside Church

Our sister church since 1980

The Rectory

The Rector’s Blog – musings about life in the world and in the church (on the basis that he’s engaged with both).

The Vicar & Friends

Over the years, the Rector has drawn together a number of local musicians to put on concerts of popular music to raise funds for the churches and other local causes.

Hunsdon Village
The church is closely connected with the village community it serves. This link will take you to the Hunsdon Village website, managed by the Parish Council.

Waterways Chaplaincy
One of our church members is a Waterways Chaplain. We support their work, assisting those living on the waterways who find themselves in need.

Overseas Missionary Fellowship

Wilson and Irene McMahon used to worship with us. We now support their work with OMF in the Philippines.

Hertford District Food Bank

Hertford District Food Bank works in partnership with churches, businesses, supermarkets, schools and front-line professional care agencies. Tinned and dried food is donated by the public, “banked” in a warehouse and then given to people in crisis.

The Church of England

This is the denomination of the worldwide Christian Church to which the Hunsdon church belongs.

St Albans Diocese

Government is facilitated by local authorities (councils) acting in smaller geographical areas like counties.  In the Church of England, the equivalent geographical region to a county is called a Diocese, centred on a Cathedral City where the Bishop has his administration.  We are in St Albans Diocese.

The Deanery of Hertford and Ware

A deanery is the church governance equivalent of a civic district (like East Herts) which has its own council to represent the people.  Hunsdon parish is in the Hertford and Ware Deanery.

St Albans Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship
St Albans DEF seeks to promote and encourage evangelical faith and practice in the Diocese of St Albans to unite evangelicals across the diocese.

Saffron Walden Bible Focus
Saffron Walden Bible Focus aims to encourage and strengthen Christians in their faith through Bible teaching and providing a forum for fellowship with other believers from the region.

The Evangelical Alliance

We are a member of this alliance of evangelicals sharing the gospel, lifting voices of hope, and building unity as together we make Jesus known.
