Every year on Remembrance Sunday, we hold an Act of Remembrance for those from our village who fought and died in the two World Wars.
Since 2020, when Covid19 restrictions prevented us from meeting indoors, we have held the service outside at the War Memorial (and in 2020 and 2021 we live-streamed it from there).
It is a short service which begins at 10:45am so that we can have the two minutes silence at 11:00am. Refreshments are served in the Village Hall afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
The Scouts, Cubs and Beavers parade down from the School and take a key part in the service, laying wreaths, bearing flags and reading from the Bible.
We use the opportunity of this gathering to support the work of the Royal British Legion. You can join us in this by donating online here.
