Can people without a living faith participate in the body of Christ in the Lord’s Supper?

The thirty-fourth question in our catechism is:
“Can people without a living faith participate in the body of Christ in the Lord’s Supper?”
The answer is:
“Certainly not. Those without a living faith do not partake of Christ, but instead bring condemnation on themselves as they eat and drink the signs of his body and blood.”
