What is the rule of faith?

The ninth question in our catechism is:
“What is the rule of faith?”
The answer is:
“The rule of faith is the Bible, or Holy Scripture, which contains all things necessary for salvation. Anything which is not found in the Bible or demonstrated by the Bible is not necessary and no one should be required to believe it.”
