The seventh question in our catechism is:
“Did Christ’s soul remain in the realm of the dead and his body in the grave?”
The answer is:
“No. Christ truly rose again from death, body and soul. He ascended into heaven in his physical body and he is seated there until he returns to judge all people on the last day.”
