Church Spring Clean

Last year, in celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III, people were encouraged to set aside some time for community service under the title, “The Big Help Out.” It has been decided another similar initiative should take place this year over the three days 7th-9th June. The PCC has chosen to carry out a Spring Clean of the church building on Saturday 8th (including some work in the churchyard). We haven’t registered with “The Big Help Out” to call for volunteers from the surrounding communities because we are hopeful that people from the village might be interested in playing a part in the maintenance of our historic church building. It won’t be hard work – especially if we get a good crowd – but will be an opportunity to do something valuable alongside neighbours, to make new friendships and reinforce a connection to the community.

Because it’s a community effort, we’ll provide drinks and doughnuts for all the labourers on the day: Saturday 8th June, 10am until 12noon at Hunsdon Church. Please register using the form at the bottom of the page so we have some idea of numbers (for catering).
