What is meant by Royal Supremacy?

September 28, 2025 Day 271
The thirty-ninth question in our catechism is:
“What is meant by Royal Supremacy?”
The answer is:
“That the King’s majesty has the chief power in this realm of England and his other dominions, and should rule all estates and degrees committed to his charge by God, whether they are ecclesiastical or temporal.”
cf. 2 Chronicles 24:5; Isaiah 49:32; as well as 2 Chronicles 31:2, 35:1-2; Ezra 7:27; and Romans 13:1.
